Your privacy matters. This page explains what we collect when you join the Founding Member list, and what we do with it.
What we collect
There are two ways to give us your details, and each collects a different amount. The short signup form on our homepage collects your name, email address, province or territory, college or institution, and campus or city. The full survey collects those same details plus your age range, the country you are originally from, your student status, the languages you are comfortable speaking, your interests and activities, your general availability, what makes meeting new people difficult for you, and anything else you choose to tell us in your survey answers. If you tell us your institution is missing from our list, we also keep the institution name, province or territory and campus city you supply so we can review and add it.
What is required
Only the questions marked as required have to be answered. In the full survey those include the country you are originally from, which you must select before you can submit. The short signup form on our homepage does not ask for it at all. Everything else is optional, and leaving it blank does not affect your Founding Member place.
Why we collect it
We use your responses to understand what students need so we can build the right product. We only send you launch and early-access updates if you ask us to: joining the early-access list is a separate choice you make on the form, and you can complete the survey without joining it. We do not use your answers for advertising.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. We only share information with service providers who help us operate the platform, and only as needed to do so.
Where your data is stored
Your information is stored with Supabase, our database provider, in their US West (Oregon) region in the United States. If you are in Canada, this means your data is transferred outside Canada and is held subject to United States law, including lawful access requests by US authorities. We only use providers who apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep your survey response until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
